Dubai Land Department Wins National Brand Award

​Prestigious accolade recognises department’s excellence in providing intelligent services that maximise comfort and convenience for customers.

The UAE's 43rd National Day was the cause for extra celebrations for Dubai Land Department (DLD), as the date saw the government property department receive a prestigious National Brand Award. The honour, which was bestowed by the International Non-Olympic University (INOU) and International Nobel Peace Prize Recommendation Forum, was received by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Chairman of DLD.

"We are extremely proud to have received this prestigious award, as it is a formal acknowledgment of our efforts to service the local real estate market. It is an appreciation of our work to establish set models and standards for other institutions around the world to follow and achieve to excellence in the arena of real estate," said HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General of DLD.

DLD won the National Brand Award in the category: 'Star Companies and Organisations in the Government Sector' in recognition of its work in regulating, registering and promoting investments in Dubai's real estate market. The organisation's innovative platforms that have helped contribute to the city's resurgent real estate sector were also cited, including its e-Mart real estate portal, its Real Estate Investment Map and other advanced initiatives.

"Our winning of this award is proof on the world stage that we can contribute to progress and prosperity through the provision of innovative services that save time, effort and money. The transition to smart solutions has been shown to enhance the functions of government departments and to improve the customer experience," said Bin Mejren. "Not only has our success been recognised with this National Brand Award, it is also attested to by the number of regional and international delegations we host who visit DLD to learn from our experiences, as well as the invitations we receive to participate in events, forums and international conferences to showcase our successes," he added.

DLD impressed the National Brand Award judges with its creative programs and state-of-the-art systems, notably the Real Estate Investment Map and e-Mart Real Estate Market, the latter being an online tool specially designed for real estate professionals to list their properties in Dubai. e-Mart provides the public with a number of e-services that allow them to search for properties, communicate with landlords, brokers and management companies, and also to complete sale transactions, thereby negating the need for multiple visits to DLD offices.

"This award is a testament to the efforts we have made over the past 12 months - receiving it during the National Day celebrations reinforced the joy of our many national achievements. I am delighted to extend my thanks to all our employees who have played a major role in improving our practices and services," said Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director-General of DLD.

Handing the National Brand Award to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Ben Khalifa Al Maktoum, Chairman of DLD, H.E Akram Sabry, INOU National Brand Ambassador for South Africa and Middle East, stated; "DLD has achieved excellence in its category as is evident in the progress it has made in its various operations. After a critical comparison of its services with those of the other nominated global institutions, the jury decided to give the National Brand Award to DLD. On this occasion we congratulate His Highness, the Chairman of DLD, and all the Department's employees. We wish them even more progress and success in the future."
