Request for Replacement for Lost/ Damaged Title Deed


This service allows owners of a land or other properties to apply for a replacement for a damaged/ lost Title Deed. The new Title Deed is issued after publishing an announcement in newspaper and the lapse of the time period prescribed by the law for submitting objections.

The service is provided by the Registration and Documentation Section.


Required Documents
  1. Request for Replacement Title Deed signed by the owner or his duly authorised representative

  2. Copies of the Passport, Family Book, and Emirates ID Card of the owner

  3. Copy of the Succession Certificate, in case of death of the owner

  4. Power of Attorney granted to the representative of the owner or heirs

    *For apartments, properties, and villas, a lost letter from the police + 3-day advertisement are required

Service Procedures

The customer shall head to one of the Real Estate Services Trustees Centres enclosing all required documents, settling the fees and signing documents. After the internal audit is complete, the title deed and map will be printed and handed over to customer.

Service Fee
  • AED 1,000 as fees for the announcement of the loss of the Title Deed, and issuing a new one
  • Map Issuance Fees (based on the type of property)
