Request for Registration of Tenancy Contract Ending with Acquisition of Title


This service allows customers to apply to register a tenancy contract ending with acquisition of title between the seller, the purchaser and the financing party. Payments are made by the purchaser to the financing party, until the title is acquired by the purchaser. The service is provided by the Department of Real Estate Registration

Required Documents
  1. Title deed
  2. No Objection Certificate from the developer
  3. Sale Agreement 
  4. Tenancy letter from the bank indicating the tenancy amount and the start and end 
  5. Identity card of the seller or passport copy if non-resident
  6.  Identity card of the purchaser or passport copy if non-resident

Service Procedures

The customer shall apply for the service through a service channel enclosing all required documents and settling the fees.

The application shall be reviewed and then returned where the title deeds and balances will be printed and handed over to the customer.

Service Fee

Seller fees:

  • 2% of the sale value
  • AED 10 Knowledge Fees
  • AED 10 Innovation Fees

Purchaser fees:

  • 2% of the sale value or 0.25% of the rental value 
  • AED 250 Title Deed issuance fee 
  • AED 100 fee for issuance of land map (AED 250 if a villa or apartment)
  • AED 40 Knowledge fee at the rate of AED 10 per fee
  • AED 40 Innovation fee at the rate of AED 10 per fee

Registration Trustee fees:

  • If the sale value exceeds or is equal to AED 500,000 an AED 4,000 fee shall be calculated
  • If the sale value is less than AED 500,000 a an AED 2,000 fee shall be calculated
