DREI Rules and Policies

COURSE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

  • New candidates shall register via www.drei.gov.ae ->Training registration.
  • Existing candidates shall register via www.drei.gov.ae ->Student login->course registration.
  • Candidates shall receive automated confirmation mail sent to the registered E-mail.
  • Payment shall be done through the registration system via debit/credit Card.
  • System shall send a digital receipt to the registered e-mail.
  • Payment shall be made within 3 days on registration.
  • Candidates may delete or make delayed payments via pending courses option in student login.

Payment method for course registration includes the following:

  1. Training course program
  2. Includes breaks , beverages and snacks
  3. Electronic material
  4. Electronic certification

 

Note: Please attend 20 min earlier to avoid traffic and parking issues.

 

RENEWAL

  • All professionals are required to renew their Licensing Cards prior to its expiration, if not you are required to take full main course again.

 

ATTENDANCE

  • Your regular and timely attendance throughout the course .Kindly reach 20 minutes earlier in order to sign in for attendance every day.
  • Candidates shall mark their attendance on systems at DREI premises via Student login ->Current courses-> hand symbol.
  • You will not be allowed to enter the class if you are 1 hour late.
  • The Owners or Sponsors mentioned on the Trade License will be granted a grace period of ONE year from the date of their first paid registration. Incase failure to attend the course within the grace period will lead to forfeiture of the full amount and will be required to register and repay.
  • Please ensure that all the details contained in your student page are accurate (i.e., name, company name, telephone, mobile, and email.
  • You should be respectful of dress code & local customs.
     

USER LOGIN DETAILS

  • Candidate shall receive registered email and password via SMS sent to the registered mobile numbers.
  • Candidates shall use the log-in details for attendance and examination.
  • DREI shall not provide user names and passwords.
  • Candidates may re-set their password via www.drei.gov.ae ->Student login ->forgot my password.

 

COURSE/EXAM RESCHEDULING:

You may reschedule via our website (www.drei.gov.ae -> Click on student area and log in ->Current courses->click on the clock icon and change your course /exam schedule).

  • More than 5 working days will entitle you to postpone your course/exam for free.
  • Less than 5 working days prior to the course/exam will result in penalty of 20% of the total fee paid for course/exam.
  • On the day of the course/exam will result in 100% forfeiture of the fee (An exception made for the Real Estate Diploma absentee who will be liable to pay only 20% of the course fee).
  • Main or Re-sit examination reschedule is not accepted except in emergency case proved by provision of valid evidence and request shall be placed prior to schedule confirmed.

CANCELLATION / RE-FUND POLICY :

  • The Participant is entitled to have a full re-fund for the fees paid if the course was cancelled by the Institute.
  • No Refund will be given in case of "absence".
  • No Refund in case the participant requests cancellation in less than 10 working days prior to the course start date.

Certification Course:-

  • The Institute has the right to deduct a percentage of the paid fee in the following cases:-
  • 20% of the paid fee in case the registered broker leaves the real estate industry, in such case the participant has to inform the institute in no less than 10 working days prior to the course date, and his labor card and visa cancellation documents.
  • 20% of the paid fee in case the inability of the license owner to issue a real estate license or to add an activity to an existing real estate license, in such case the participant has to provide a proof of that by presenting a letter from the Real estate regulatory agency RERA in no less than 10 working days prior to the course date.
  • In case the license owner or the manager who is registered on the trade license has a college degree and is registered for the diploma course he/she has the right to reimburse, in such case the college degree should be presented prior to the course.
  • 100% in case of not showing to the course.

International / Executive Courses:-

  • The Institute has the right to deduct a percentage of the paid fee in the following cases:-
  • 20% in case the Institute is informed 20 working days or more prior to the course date.
  • 50% in case the Institute is informed 19 working days or less prior to the course date.
  • 100% in case of not showing to the course.
     

FACILITY POLICIES:

  • NON SMOKING: smoking is prohibited anywhere on DREI premises.
  • MOBILE PHONES: Kindly set it on silent mode or switch them off during class and exam.
  • DREI will not be responsible for any lost or damaged belongings.
     

EXAMINATION:

  • Exams are conducted for one hour and are held as per the selected schedule; and it will take the form of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Examinees who fail shall be directed automatically to the current courses to select another date for their re-take exam.

* Examinee who fails twice shall be entitled to re-pay and re-register.

* Examinee who passes shall downloaded the certificate from their student profile.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Keep your mobile phone(s) on silent mode and leave the study material, place them in lockers outside the examination Hall.
  2. You cannot leave during the exam only if the proctor grants you the permission if requested.
  3. Results will show in your portal after finish exam, any examination result related enquiries will not be answered over the phone due to confidentiality.
  4. Any Examinee caught cheating or portraying any suspicious behavior will be marked and failed.
  5. The exam results will appear on your screen once you finish your examination.
  6. No exam related enquiries will be answered via email or over the phone.
  7. If you fail your main exam you will be given only one free re-take examination.
  8. In case of failure the re-sit exam should be done within 10 working days from the exam date.

GRADING SYSTEM:

  • 60% is the pass mark for the Owners or Sponsors mentioned on the Trade License.
  • 85% is the pass mark for all types of Brokers basic and renewal examination (Real Estate and Timeshare brokers).
  • 75% is the pass mark for Diploma, CPM, CMB and Trust Account.

Any examinee who fails to meet the passing criteria will be given a free opportunity to take a Re-sit examination within 10 working days. Incase if he/she fails the re-sit shall repay and re-register for the full course.

Owner Association Program (M-100, M-201, M-202, M-203, M205, M204, M206)

  • The Passing mark is set at 70%, any examinee who fails shall pay a fee off AED200 for a re-sit examination, but incase if he fails the re-sit shall repay and re-register for the full course.

International courses

  • The Passing mark is set at 70%, any examinee who fails to meet the passing criteria will be given a free opportunity to take a Re-sit examination, but incase if he fails the re-sit shall repay and re-register for the full course.

DIGITAL CERTIFICATES

  • Examinees shall download their certificates from their student profile.
  • DREI shall not provide the candidates with hard copies.
  • DREI shall charge for certificate issuance at DREI premises.

PAYMENT METHODS:

Payments made at DREI shall be chargeable:

Payments are accepted in one of the following;

         1.       Cash payment in UAE Dirhams.

          2.       Current dated AED Cheque of total amount drawn on a UAE located bank or bankers draft in UAE Dirhams payable to “Government of Dubai – Dubai Real Estate Institute”.

* Cheque returned for any reasons are subject to AED 500 cheque returned charge.

       4.       Card Types accepted and Currency

  • We accept payments online / at DREI premises using Visa and MasterCard credit/debit card in AED.

Privacy Policy:

  • "All credit/debit cards' details or information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties"
  • "The Website Policies and Terms & Conditions would be changed or updated occasionally to meet the requirements and standards. Therefore the Customers must be notified about these changes as well as the Payment Gateway Provider/ NBAD".

SPECIAL SERVICE CHARGES

  • DREI Shall charge 100 AED for payment made at the premises.
  • DREI shall charge 500 AED for VIP services inclusive of registration and payment per candidate at the premises.
  • DREI shall charge 100 AED for in-house issuance of a certificate.

VAT  & ADMIN FEE

  • 5% VAT applies to all DREI fees and penalties.
  • AED10 Knowledge fee
  • AED10 Innovation fee
